Our Family’s first camera was a birthday present to me when I was about 10 years old and I don’t think I have put one down since. I think my passion started when I was little with my Grandmother she was always taking photos of me, and setting me up in the most unusual scenes to do so, but as a young child I loved it, then when I was a bit older and loved to be the photographer instead of the model, she still unknowingly inspired my passion when she tried to track our family history and I was fascinated with all the old photos, the history and stories they held. A photo is so much more than a picture, it is a memory, a moment captured in time that will never be able to be replaced, but can be revisited in our mind by just looking at it.I think this has been a huge influence in the way I photograph, I like to capture the moment but also the little details, that may not seem important today but will make a world of difference in the future, so when you look back they will help you remember everything about that time, be it the size of your babies tiny little hands and feet to the perfume and earrings you worn on your wedding day.
